Outrageous Shortbreads

These savory shortbreads were originally developed to accompany wine. Although some people may prefer to "taste" wine by itself to examine its intrinsic properties and flavors, few actually "drink" wine by itself.

These savory shortbreads combine unique flavors and textures to enhance the wine tasting experience. They are a perfect size to enjoy while sipping wine, without interfering with the main course.

Apricot Mango; Blue Cheese Walnut; Cherry Mocha; Cracked Pepper Currant; and Lemon Hazelnut.  Real food for real tastes!

Marinated Feta with Sun Dried Tomatoes and Olives

Here is a treat from a local Grade A Goat Dairy farm: Split Creek Fams in Anderson, SC.  Pictured is their 12-oz jar of cubed goat milk feta layered in oil with chopped sun dried tomatoes, and black olives. 

Split Creek Farm is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains' scenic foothills of South Carolina.  The Grade A Dairy is in a barn designed and built by the owners to include the milking and cheese operations and a kid nursery.  

This is wonderful to eat straight from the jar or to pour over freshly cooked  pasta of your choice.

O’Brien Family Vineyard - Merlot 2005

The O'Brien Merlot is handcrafted from grapes grown in their vineyard in the Oak Knoll district of Napa Valley. Deep and dark ruby/plum in color, the 2005 Merlot is big, dark and intense with mouth filling fruit of blackberry, black cherry and cassis. Aromatics of sweet cherry liqueur, caramel, toffee, coffee, and forest floor that lead to a profile of cedar, earth, black cherry and crème de cassis that is both exotic and elegant. The abundant fine grained tannins and youthful acids provide ample structure to this wine.

This vintage of their estate Merlot can be enjoyed immediately but they recommend it be bottle aged for at least 2 years and up to 10 for maximum enjoyment.

O’Brien Family Vineyard - Seduction 2005

Deep, dense purple throughout, this wine displays wonderful aromas of sweet black cherry, warm licorice, cedar, oak and toasted espresso bean. Intense currant, berry and crème de cassis flavors on the palate are framed by fine grained tannins in this full bodied, supple, well concentrated blend. 

This wine will age well for 10 years or more.  Seduction is a proprietary red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot from the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley appellation.

The O'Brien estate vineyards are located in the Oak Knoll area of southern Napa Valley. The climate is ideal for Cabernet, Chardonnay and Merlot grapes with fog burning off early, and the cooling influence of San Pablo Bay helping to moderate daytime peak temperatures. The result is that natural acidity and the more delicate nuances of varietal character are consistently preserved.

Emiliana Natura Cabernet Sauvignon 
and Chardonnay

For those of you who get headaches from red wine, you may want to try Natura Cabernet Sauvignon - it's an Organic wine.  

The Natura Cabernet Sauvignon is a world-class wine with notes of dark berries and cocoa.  It is produced by Emiliana Vineyards from organically grown grapes.  Organic viticulture bring forth the true characteristics of the vineyard terroir and allows the grapes to express themselves fully.  The result is distinctive flavors combine to make a remarkably unique and complex wine.  Enjoy with red meat, pastas with red sauce and strong cheeses.

We also carry the Natura Chardonnay for white wine lovers.  The Chardonnay has notes of intense tropical fruit.  Enjoy with seafood, ceviche and shellfish.
